BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

I Am Number 4 Movie Review By: SandwichJohn

I Am Number 4 Movie Review
By: SandwichJohn

I went into this film hoping for more than I got. The movie was directed D. J. Caruso (Disturbia) , produced by Michael Bay (You think Action throughout) and a cast that starred Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, and Callan McAuliffe. But that was pretty much it. All the action was shown during the trailer. You would think by now we would figure that out, but sometimes you are hoping for more. You have to dream.

There sure were some questions I had about this film while watching it, like why in the hell would a race from outer space need to drive a car? Wouldn't they have more advanced technology than this?  Sorry I am weird, I think of shit like that when I watch a movie.

Alex Pettyfer plays John Smith or whatever his name is. It changes from town to town. He is an alien from the plant Lorien and was sent to Earth with 8 other super babies to escape The Mogadorians who destroyed his home plant. Each super baby has a Guardian and lucky for him he has Henri who is played by non-other than Timothy Olyphant. (Applause please, especially if you have seen him in GO)

The two of them live in this tropical oasis in Florida, and like any young man he goes chasing the hotty into the ocean when something strange starts to happen. He is sucked into the ocean and during this time he legs starts to burn and glow and emits a bright light. And you know what this means, it's time to leave again.

The Mogadorians are on earth and have to kill the super babies in their order and with three of them dead they go searching for Number 4. Can you guess who that is? If you guessed John, or whatever his name is, your are right.

After the bright light situation Number 4 and Henri are on the move again and are headed to Paradise, Ohio. What a clever name for a town, Paradise.

While attending school there John befriends the little kid that everyone picks on, Sam Goode, played by Callan McAuliffe who is a complete X-Files, conspiracy theorist, and alien lover.

And of course there is a love story in the film. How could they leave that out with such pretty people starring in the movie. John  falls head over heals for Sara Hart played by Dianna Agron (Glee). I am surprised she didn't break out into song when she met John, instead she took pictures of him. Sara is an amateur photographer in the film.

John starts to display his powers in certain situations and when Henri catches wind of this he informs John that they are leaving. But John finally stands up and lays the Smackdown and let's Henri know he is in Love with Sara. I asked myself, how in the hell do you fall in love with someone that quick even in a movie. Oh you'll find out.

While this is going on you get to see a few cut scenes with the ever so sexy Number 6 played by Teresa Palmer. Who is also searching for Number 4.

The Mogadorians finally corner John, Sara, and Sam in the high school and are ready to kick some ass. And during these few scenes this is where all the action for the film is.

BAM  out of nowhere Number 6 comes to save the day. Kickin ass and taking names.

The biggest surprise is the acting of this little dog. He deserves an Oscar for his performance and was one of the only Highlights of this film. You'll see when you watch the movie.

Good defeats Evil and Number 4 and Number 6 must go on and find the rest of the super babies to protect our world.

I just gotta tell you this film left me disappointed just like the movie Push. Great commercials, pretty cast and your sold. Go out and watch the movie and are left empty inside, like shit I just wasted $10 to see this film.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
