Eastern Promises 2 Coming Soon This is a busy time for Webster. He's also lining up a sequel to Eastern Promises, with Viggo Mortensen reprising his role as the Russian Mafia hit man. David Cronenberg will direct Steve Knight’s script. The Focus Features project hopes to go this winter. First, Mortensen and Cronenberg have to work together on the Sigmund Freud picture, The Talking Cure. This will mark the forth time that the actor and director have worked together, their pervious films are the first Eastern Promises, A History of Violence, Sigmund Freud and the sequel to Eastern Promises . Angelina Jolie To Play Maleficent I recently posted the news about Disney's maybe moving forward with a Tim Burton Film called Maleficent. Woolverton's "Maleficent" movie would tell the classic fairy tale from the point of view of the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil," offering a new take on a classic tale as she did with Lewis Carrol's "Alice." Rumors are starting to swirl around Hollywood that Angelina Jolie could eventually end up playing the evil fairy. There is no deal in place and this is just a rumor, but according to sources she is interested by the material. I think it would be a nice twist to have her star in the film, but we all know Tim Burton don't be surprised if Helena Bonham Carter gets a shot at it. Please Leave A Comment-

24 Has Officially Ended It's Day I think we all saw this one coming eventually, you have heard the news that the show might be getting shut down by Fox because of how expensive it is to produce, Fox has shopped the show to other networks and not much has come of it. NBC took a bite at it but it look like nothing has come from it. The shows director/producer Jon Cassar let the world know on his Twitter account that the show was going to get canceled. News from the 24 set, the crew has been told that 24 has come to an end. There will b no season 9. It’s been a great run, thanx all 4 watching We all had fun with the show, been a great 8 years of drama and action, so let's hope another network picks it up to continue the run, and if not let's end it with a Bang. Clash of the Titans To Become A Trilogy Good news for Sam Worthington fans and fans of "Clash of the Titans."  Like anything in Hollywood if it's a blockbuster movie you better have a sequel ready to go to keep the fans happy.    Firstshowing exclusively is bringing us this news. They learned that director Louis Letterier originally signed on to make a trilogy for Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures and has even written an entire story for all three movies! A Nightmare On Elm Street Interrupt's ABDC Freddy just doesn't give a dam, he will interrupt anything, just like he did for the promo for the show ABDC. New Hot Tub Time Machine Clip The clip shows all the guys trying to figure out what just happened and how does the time machine work. By the way the white powder around Craig Robinson is not flour.  In the clip Robinson talks about the time machine and the comparison to Terminator the film and what could have happen if they didn't send Michael Bean back in time. The film just looks like a good old retro 80's film with great comedy and an awesome soundtrack. There is some serious buzz about this movie and it is all good. "Maleficent" Film Getting Closer To Reality We reported back in January when this news broke about a big screen movie about "Maleficent" evil fairy from the 1959 animated classic "Sleeping Beauty."  This is exciting news to me for one reason I, named our first daughter after Sleeping Beauty herself, so a different take on the film would be exciting. Sam Worthington Crazy Talk About A Terminator Sequel Sam Worthington has a crazy idea for a Terminator sequel. And it starts out with them going back in time. Doesn't that sound familiar or similar to Terminator 2? I had an idea that we'd go back in time to when Marcus was first put in jail. They broke Linda Hamilton out of jail in [Terminator 2: Judgment Day], out of the nuthouse. In this one, they'd (John Connor) have to go back in time and break Marcus out of jail. It's the same kind of mirror image. He would be more fallible, because he's human; he's not metallic. He can get hurt. He still has the gung-ho attitude, but he can get hurt now. I think that I might be one of the few who actually enjoyed Terminator Salvation, didn't think that it was a bad film.  Sam admits that when he told people about this idea they didn't go for it.  He would like to take the Marcus character to another leave and would like to star in another Terminator film.

Mark Millar Talks Wanted 2 And Replacing Angelina Jolie MTV spoke to "Wanted" co-creator Mark Miller at the South By Southwest Film Festival and got some insight to an "Wanted 2" film. Zach Braff Turning In His "Scrubs" For Good Zach Braff the star of the TV show "Scrubs" has let the world know that the show is done for good. The show has been on for nine season and two networks will not be returning next year. Posting on Facebook, Braff wrote: "Many of you have asked, so here it is: it appears that 'New Scrubs,' 'Scrubs 2.0,' 'Scrubs with new kids,' 'Scrubbier,' 'Scrubs without JD' is no more. It was worth a try, but alas... it didn't work. zb" Now before writing the show off, an ABC rep says the network hasn't made its official decision yet. Green Day's American Idiot To Become Feature Film T he Green Day-fueled American Idiot doesn't bow on Broadway bow until April 20.  Already, talks are underway with Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman to turn the musical into a feature film. The album American Idiot was a huge success for the San Francisco punk band and made them a house hold name around the world.  American Idiot uses the songs of punk band Green Day to tell the coming of age story of three small-town guys. One joins the armed forces, another moves to the city and gets mired in a drug habit, the third stays home and gets his girlfriend pregnant. There is little dialogue beyond the Green Day tunes. The musical which first opened at the Berkeley Repertory Theater, with Tom Hulce and Ira Pittelman producing, and it begins previews this week at the St. James Theater . "War of Gods" To Star Twilight's Kellan Lutz If you live on another planet then just maybe you have no idea who Kellen Lutz is, he is one of the stars in the Twilight series and plays Emmett Cullen.  He will be playing Poseidon in the upcoming film "War Of Gods." The film is a Greek myth fantasy film that centers on the conflict between the Greek gods and the elder gods known as the Titans, whose king, Hyperion (Mickey Rourke), is on a murderous rampage across Greece.  Jason Keller worked on the most recent draft of the screenplay, which also was worked on by Christian Gudegast and Charley and Vlas Parlapanides. Popeye CG Film Headed Our Way To me the only film I want to see about Popeye is the film that starred Robin Williams (in his first film role) as Popeye and Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl. Popeye features hallmarks of director Robert Altman's style, including an ensemble cast, overlapping dialogue and cross-cutting to non-musical sequences during songs by Harry Nilsson. Sony is bringing an all-CGI "Popeye" to the big screen, with the iconic sailor man's muscles set to pop in 3D. Avi Arad, who teamed with Sony to turn Spider-Man into a powerhouse franchise, is producing. Scribe Mike Jones is in negotiations to adapt. "Scott called me and said, 'I have something for you,'" said Arad, who grew up watching Popeye shorts in movie houses in his native Israel. Spy Hunter Film To Become A Reality? I bet you guys forgot about this little project and looks like it is back in the news again. Back in 2003 Universal Pictures was thinking of making this film and having it star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, but it never happened, well looks like they are going to rev up the engines on this one again. Warners obtained the rights when it bought Midway for $33 million in July. The studio, which bought the title as part of its acquisition of Midway Games last year, has tapped Chad St. John to pen the script for a feature adaptation. St. John is becoming a Warners favorite. The scribe wrote the time-travel spec "The Days Before" for Warners, which signed him to a two-pic deal. A remake of "Outland" and the action project "Motor City" followed. Get Him To The Greek Red-Band Trailer Universal Pictures has released a new red-band trailer for the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off comedy Get Him To The Greek. The film, which was also written by Stoller , is scheduled for release in June of 2010. Get Him to the Greek is a spin-off from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, reuniting director Stoller with stars Hill and Brand. Brand reprises his character Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, while Hill plays an entirely new character. The film was originally titled Get Me to the Gig. I have never been a huge fan of Russell Brand but I did enjoy his role is Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and if your sense of humor is like mine they I am sure you will enjoy this film. Transformers 3 Cast Update and New Autobot We have got some new Transformers 3 news, first up Michael Bay has let us know that Frances McDormand and John Malkovich have been cast in the film. Howgwarts Burns To The Ground The set of The Howgwarts for the final Harry Potter film has been destroyed in a blaze as they were filming the final battle scene. If you have read the book then you will know the scene in which the fire happened and if you haven't stop reading now. The set that burnt down while they were filming the scene involved a Battle of Hogwarts scenes involve Harry raising an army of students to defend the school from evil wizard Voldemort. Explosives set light to scenery at the school of magic as cast and crew shot the Battle of Hogwarts climax for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Fire crews battled for 40 minutes to bring the flames under control but the set was wrecked. Two New Kick-Ass Clips With the release date for the film approaching we are starting to see some more clips of the film to get the word out about the movie. Matthew Vaughn-directed adaptation of the Mark Millar, John Romita Jr. comic-book Kick-Ass is almost here. We have a couple of new Clips for you from the film. Chris Evans To Play Captain America The wait is over and now we have confirmation that Chris Evans will play Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. Sources tell us the actor has not only accepted Marvel's offer, first detailed on Friday, but that the dealmaking moved so fast it's now all about dotting the i's and crossing the t's. Evans was offered the role in Marvel Studios' production last week, but there was some question of whether he would accept. Factoring in to the choice was the fact that Evans played Johnny Storm, the flame-covered superhero known as the Human Torch in Fox's "Fantastic Four" movies.
