BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Love And Other Drugs Movie Review By: SandwichJohn

More Then Just A Chick Flick

OK I know all you are thinking what is the Sandwich doing going to see a chick flick? Let me tell you, if your going to treat your wife or girlfriend to a movie this one is it! All us men drag our significant others to all the movies we want to see, trust me you'll want to take her to this movie. Not only will she thank you for taking her to a chick flick, you'll be thanking me for suggesting this movie.

Love and Other Drugs is comedy-drama film directed by Edward Zwick, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. Just a tease for all you guys Hathaway is in her BIRTHDAY Suit throughout this film (Got all you MEN sold on seeing this film just with one sentence.) And yes ladies, they didn't leave you out, Gyllenhaal is also in his suit.

The movie starts off with Jamie (Gyllenhaal) working at a stereo shop and selling his ass off with the use of his great smile and charm. I said to myself I would buy anything from a salesman like Jamie if there were any in this world.

From the beginning of this film you can see what a gigolo Jamie is. And only if he offered a class on this I would have definately signed up. After getting caught having sex with his boss' girlfriend he is ultimately fired from his job.

Jamie's rich and porn obsessed younger brother stirs Jamie into a new career field of pharmaceutical sales with Pfizer. Being sent to the Midwest Jamie dives head first into his new career using his charms to reach his goal to be number one and get to the promise land of Chicago. While on one of his sales pitches he follows the doctor as an intern and meets Maggie (Hathaway) your know it all young lady. While in the office she shows the doctor and Jamie her one breast sighting that she had this black dot on her breast and was worried. Now all you guys should be sold on this movie right at this point. Hook, line, and sinker.

In the film Maggie should be every single guys dream, she is straight forward, sexy, doesn't want you to stay over, and suffering from Parkinson's. Her motto thoughout the film is that she doesn't want any real relationship and is not looking to fall in love. Just a great FB. But as with all movies it doesn't go as planned. With all relationships it starts off with attraction then it becomes emotional as you get to know each other. Whoever tells you different is full of $h*t.

Now with all the nude scenes of Hathaway you have got to be sold on this movie and you will actually become interested in the movie and what will happen to this young couple.

As time goes on Jamie starts to fall in LOVE, and this is a hard thing for him. He grew up in a home that didn't use that word or even give hugs to each other. So this feeling for him is way out of the norm.

Edward M. Zwick, the director of this film, is more known for his extensive war films such as Courage Under Fire, The Last Samurai and Defiance. This film is his return to romantic comedy since About Last Night..

Gyllenhaal's performance in this film was amazing, he was captivating, highly amusing and a lady killer. Hathaway was on top of her game in this film, again Sexy (she is in my 5), and pulling off a emotional performance. The one scene that stood out in this film to me was while she was in Chicago with Jamie, who was there to attend a conference, she decides to attend a meeting with others who live with Parkinson’s. You can see the emotion that she feels while listening to the people talk about this disease. The laughter and tears. Have tissue handy ladies.

The typical scenario at this point, boy looses girl and boy must get her back.

Jamie does what is required to get back together with the women he loves. Maggie doesn't want Jamie to give up his regular life and one day finding a normal wife without Parkinson's, the disorder has a habit of getting worse with time. She doesn't want him to have to be a caretaker the rest of his life. The feel good part, Jamie chooses her and everything that comes with the package.

To me the film delivers on both parts, the story and the acting. Again fellows take your ladies to watch this movie earn some points and trust me you will enjoy this film.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
