Another surprise casting news. Director Matthew Vaughn has casted Alex Gonzalex as a mutant called Riptide. Riptide is like a human tornado that has the ability to spin his body at an incredibly fast rate. Upon reaching his top speed, Riptide then hurls shuriken and other objects created from calcified masses at such high velocity that they can punch through steel.

Caleb Landry Jones as Sean Cassidy / Banshee: An Irish mutant with the ability of sonic screaming. Lucas Till as Alex Summers / Havok: Cyclops' brother who has the ability to absorb cosmic energy blasts. Edi Gathegi as Armando Muñoz / Darwin: A mutant with the power of "reactive evolution." Jason Flemyng as Azazel: Nightcrawler's father who has the ability to teleport. When asked if Hugh Jackman might appear as Wolverine, Bryan Singer only shrugged.
