Jaime King's new show has been picked up by ABC, "My Generation" will premiere as a lead into "Grey's Anatomy" at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday nights on ABC. Could you ask for a better time slot?
Jaime King's is one of our favorite actress in Hollywood with her love for Stars Wars and having one of the coolest husbands in show business director Kyle Newman.
"My Generation" is a faux-documentary about a group of high school students and where they are in their lives 10 years after they graduated.
It stars Michael Stahl-David ("The Black Donnellys"), Kelli Garner ("Lars and the Real Girl"), Jaime King ("The Class"), Keir O'Donnell ("Sons of Anarchy"), Sebastian Sozzi ("Choke"), Mehcad Brooks ("The Deep End," "True Blood"), Anne Son ("Wake"), Daniella Alonso ("Friday Night Lights") and Julian Morris ("24," "ER"). "My Generation" was created and written by Noah Hawley ("The Unusuals," "Bones"), who is also an executive producer.
What a difference ten years can make. In 2000, a documentary crew follows a disparate group of high schoolers from Greenbelt High School in Austin, TX as they prepare for graduation, then revisits these former classmates ten years later as they return home to rediscover that just because they're not where they planned doesn't mean they're not right where they need to be.
These students couldn't wait to graduate and head out into the real world. But the world they were entering got very real very fast. As these classmates return home to revisit their old hopes for their future, they'll discover that, even if you don't get exactly what you thought you wanted out of life, it's not too late to get what you need.
