Geena Davis Talks Beetle Juice 2

Geena Davis Talks Beetle Juice 2

This is just a rumor, so do not go and wet your pants just yet. The talk about doing a sequel to Beetlejuice has been in talks since the 1990's, Davis talked about the sequel while she was doing press for you upcoming film "Accident's Happen"

Davis said:

It's funny, [another journalist] just asked me about a sequel to Beetlejuice - which, though I haven't heard anything about it, might be interesting, I would do that!.

"Thing is, do ghosts age?, Wouldn't we be stuck in the age we were? Alec [Baldwin] and I would have to look as we did then - who knows, maybe we could? I better get in touch with Tim Burton.

A script titled "Beetlejuice goes Hawaiian", written by Jonathan Gems, was doing the rounds in the early '90s. It saw the Deetz family moving to Hawaii, where Charles (Jeffrey Jones) is developing a resort. Soon enough the twice-unlucky clan discover they're building on top of an old ancient Hawaiian Kahuna's burial ground. At that stage, Warner Bros had only approached Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder about reprising their roles from the original film.

The project never happened, but star Michael Keaton was as recently as 2005 suggesting he'd be keen to play 'The Ghost with the Most' again.

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
