Angelina Jolie To Play Maleficent
I recently posted the news about Disney's maybe moving forward with a Tim Burton Film called Maleficent. Woolverton's "Maleficent" movie would tell the classic fairy tale from the point of view of the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil," offering a new take on a classic tale as she did with Lewis Carrol's "Alice."
Rumors are starting to swirl around Hollywood that Angelina Jolie could eventually end up playing the evil fairy. There is no deal in place and this is just a rumor, but according to sources she is interested by the material. I think it would be a nice twist to have her star in the film, but we all know Tim Burton don't be surprised if Helena Bonham Carter gets a shot at it.
