How far off will the third season be from Book Three 'Club Dead' by Charlaine Harris? Will Michael Papajohn be getting a beefier role? And how will newcomer Dawn Olivieri (Heroes) affect the cast?

The third season of HBO’s True Blood airs in June 2010 and as always, HBO is keeping details tightly under wraps. The frenzy of True Blood mania however is as crazy as ever and fans and websites galore are offering personal thoughts and insider tips. Are they fact, fiction or just plain old wishful thinking? While only HBO truly knows what will come to pass, perhaps some scenarios are more likely than others.

True Blood Season Two Brief Conclusion

The conclusion of season two saw Maryann Forrester (Michelle Forbes), defeated by shape shifter Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell), who turned into a bull and tore out the lady’s heart. Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley) is still Tara, confused and unsure as ever and alone again, now that Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) has killed Eggs (Mehcad Brooks).

Jason and Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer), attempted to save the town in Rambo-esque style, while fledgling vampire Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll), spurned and burned by love, embraced a vampire’s natural tendencies and sucked on a truck driver.

Vampire queen, Sophie-Ann Leclerg (Evan Rachel Wood), is revealed as the one that ordered Eric Northman (Alex Skarsgård), to have Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis), continue dealing V again. Vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), is incensed upon learning of Eric’s involvement. Sophie-Ann is incensed with Eric because Bill knew about his involvement and so Eric promised to take care of it.

Bill took Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), to dinner and proposed and Sookie, unsure as to what to do at this point, headed for the bathroom to work through the doubts. Realizing the need to be Bill’s wife, Sookie returned to the table to accept the marriage proposal but vampire Bill is gone, abducted with a chain of silver.

"It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
