Comic-Con Might Be Moving To Anaheim?

Comic-Con Might Be Moving To Anaheim?

I been going to Comic-Con the past few years as a fan and I have really enjoyed the city and all it has to offer. Met some really cool people and saw some amazing stuff. Something I look forward to every year.

If it did go to Anaheim I could add a stop to the Happiest Place on earth Disneyland, and I am sure that the prices of hotel in Anaheim would be much cheaper then San Diego. And it would be easier to access other attraction around the area like Hollywood and Los Angeles.

Wherever they decide to hold Comic-Con I will be there.

The city of Anaheim is trying to lure the annual comic book and sci-fi convention called Comic-Con from its home in San Diego.

Anaheim officials confirmed this week that they have submitted a proposal to Comic-Con board members to host the event at the Anaheim Convention Center in 2013.

With Comic-Con being such a bust to the economy of San Diego I would be surprised they would let it go with out a fight. Internal surveys show attendees spend $60 million on lodging, food and transportation during the four-day event.

Comic-Con began 40 years ago and has grown into one of the region's largest annual conventions. It routinely attracts more than 120,000 people.

The San Diego convention center has also submitted a proposal to keep Comic-Con there through 2015.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
