BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Twilight's Edward and Jacob's Love Triangle With Bella

Twilight's Edward and Jacob's Love Triangle With Bella

Team Edward and Team Jacob face off in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the vampire series based on Stephenie Meyers' best-selling books, and they share a lot of screen time in the third installment.

After Bella (Kristen Stewart) falls for vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in Twilight, Edward breaks up with her in New Moon, and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) gains traction by supporting Bella in her time of need. It doesn't hurt that he's a buff werewolf who frequently shows off his glistening pecs in the rain. (Spoilers ahead!)

The third film, Eclipse, brings the love triangle to a boil in a literal three-way scene. "I loved playing with the three characters together," Stewart said. "There's literally a scene where Edward and Jacob, who are mortal enemies, are in a tent with a sleeping Bella in between them. It's a ridiculous circumstance to find yourself in."

Lautner elaborated on the situation. "Edward is forced to let me sleep in the same sleeping bag as Bella, just so she doesn't die."

In a dire situation, the undead Edward does not possess the body heat to keep his beloved from freezing to death. Werewolves, however, run a temperature of 108 degrees. "She's shivering to death, and I'm warm," Lautner continued. "I'm the only thing at that moment that can keep her alive."

Watching the two hunks fight over Bella is what the Twilight fandom is all about and is why fans have divided themselves into Team Edward and Team Jacob. Lautner and Pattinson play it up on screen.

"It's a funny scene," Lautner said. "There's a lot of ribbing going on between Jacob and Edward."

The upcoming second movie, New Moon, brings Edward and Jacob together only at the end, so the tent scene in Eclipse will really be the payoff of those tensions.

"It was weird, because I hardly did any scenes with Taylor [in New Moon]," Pattinson said. "We just did the scenes at the beginning and the scenes at the end, and he had his entire storyline develop without me being around, which is interesting, because I had no idea where his performance was going. It wasn't really a competition or anything. It was all independent. Whereas in Eclipse, we did scenes together, all the time, with Bella. It really shows the dynamic in that one."

New Moon opens Nov. 20. Eclipse is coming June 30, 2010.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
