SlashFilm has posted the first image from James Cameron's Avatar, which you can view in full after the jump; the photo (spoiler ahead!) depicts Sam Worthington as paraplegic soldier Jake Sully beside the tank holding his alien "avatar," into which his consciousness will be downloaded so that he can work on the planet Pandora. Avatar opens Dec. 18.

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) and Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lilly ) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.
