BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Beever's Harry Potter and the half blood prince Review from a fans point of view.Spoiler

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has lived up to the high standards now expected for the Harry Potter franchise. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson have really done well in the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Part of what makes this franchise successful is that these actors as well as the other actors in the franchise have stuck with the roles (with the obvious exception of the late Richard Harris who died after portraying Albus Dumbledore in the first two movies) and the fact that they will remain in the roles through the next two movies. Yes, I know that there is only one more book but they are going to split it into two movies. I know some people think that this is just to make more money from the franchise since it is nearing the end but I like believe it is so they can include as much of the storyline as possible.

I think I may have enjoyed this movie more than the others since this is the first time I have not re-read the whole book right before seeing the movie (I started to but only got to page 232). Since it has been a few years since my last reading I wasn't able to point out too many scenes that were added to the movie which were not in the book. There are a few though and that would be my only complaint with the movie. I can understand taking out scenes obviously since you can not fit 652 pages into a 2 1/2 hour movie but I don't like when scenes are added to a movie that were not in the book.

Without giving too much away the movie follows Harry Potter and company through another year at Hogwarts. This year finds the group growing up a bit with romance in the air for Ron & Hermione and Harry & Ginny. We also see the growing up of Draco Malfoy in a different manner as he enters into service for Lord Voldemort. There is a new teacher at Hogwort yet again although it surprising to find out that this teacher is not there to fill the vacant Defense Against the Dark Arts teaching spot. Guess who finally gets to teach it? As usual Harry is suspicious of Snape and Draco. Ron & Hermione think that he is over reacting. Harry is vindicated in the end when both Snape & Draco live up to their bad reputations. Harry & Dumbledore fight to rid the world of Lord Voldemort.

Overall it was an excellent movie and I give it 4 1/2 SANDWICH'S out of 5.

What? Spoiler! Damn, now I know how this ends.

It was the worst book in the series but one of the best films.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
